After looking and looking online, I decided it was time to upgrade from the fixed gear I was riding. Trek is a great brand and very durable. I've had the bike for about a month I ride approx 200-250 miles a week. I really like how upright the bike is. I have changed out my pedals to some Shimano 105s and installed a Bontrager race lite bullhorn bars. The frame set is really flawless, I have zero complaints. Once I change out my wheel set and saddle I think I will leave it that way for a while. I have rode many fixed gear bikes for the $1,000 price tag I could not find a bike nicer.

Winter Break... Time to relax or Productive vacation?

I realize there has been a bit of a delay for my updates. The skinny of it is school is out, and I have been trying so hard to handle life. I have become pretty decent at it, riding is my Zen it really does calm me down. Since my last update I have made 3 trips from my place to Ocean View and back with of course plenty other riding in between. Devon showed me the ride it's right at 31 miles round trip, it made for a great ride lots of highway, plenty of traffic, but not too many stop lights. Once we made it to OV I felt so triumphant that we had to stop and take pictures. We encountered several bent and twisted tress, the only logical this to do was to climb them and take photos. Once that was finished it was backflip time. After passing an old canon: We made our way too Willoughby Spit. We found a secluded fishing pier to snap some photos. Since the last update I added some Bontrager bullhorns to my bike "huge improvement" as well as my parents purchasing me a Giro cycling helmet "safety first".This past weekend I went up to Wintergreen, VA. for a day of snowboarding with friends, snowboarding is not my thing but I was able to get some great hiking in as well as snap some great photos of the amazing landscape.Christmas is coming at us at a quick pace. I'm not a Holiday person but Ashley is. Ashley' friend Dea sent us a beautiful portrait of Jobie it is just marvelous!  I've been slowly giving Ashley her Xmas gifts "i'm not the best at surprise!" Anyways, if there is any dudes in the 7cities looking to do some group rides hit me up. I'm really needing some new routes to hit up. Also we just picked up Ashley a new bike last night; it's a 1987 Huffy Capri fixed gear conversion. It will make a great project for her. Once again if anyone is trying to get some group rides, alley cat races or all of the above don't be a stranger. Enjoy the photos!
