Early morning

I don't really sleep too well and am always up very early. So I decided to make Coty some french toast sticks for breakfast before he rode his bike to college.

Bike rides

We went on a small bike ride around town and to get a slurpee( per usual) but then decided to stop here to take a couple little pictures. The sky was so colorful but the crappy camera quality didnt catch it quite right. I can't wait to get my new camera.

Birthday Girl

ASHLEYS BIRTHDAY!

For her birthday, we went to Richmond, Va ( only about an hour and half north) to visit some friends and have a good time. Our friends Cait and Nate rent a house near the James River that has tons of trails for hiking, rocks to climb on, and numerous other outdoorsy things to do. Both of us walked down to the railroad tracks near the trails, then made our way to the river. I was climbing all over those rocks like SPIDERMAN! It was pretty humid and we got hot quick so we walked back to our friends house, then decided to go do some shopping and found an awesome vegan resturaunt/venue/arcade called Strange Matter. The food was so delicious and since it was Ashleys birthday, they gave her free donut holes! Then I whooped her butt in Mortal Kombat. We had a long day by that point and decided to drive back home. Jobie meowed so much once we got home that we scooped him up, went to the bedroom, and passed out until the next day.

Botanical Gardens- Norfolk, VA

We decided to go here because we have always wanted to and the chance was finally upon us. What we didn't factor in....was the extreme heat. We were so sweaty the whole time we were there but still had an awesome time! Coty got some superb shots

and Ashley got to frolic around some water fountains. In all reality...I really wanted to jump in...but then I saw some of the slimy green stuff.....ew. Plans have been made to come back in the fall once things have cooled down a bit, but it was still a lot of fun.
